Estate Champions

Some residents who take part in our Mystery shopping exercises have also been happy to become estate champions and are now involved in estate inspections.

Estate champions help L&Q by acting as an extra pair of eyes and ears on estates, reporting any problems so they get dealt with as quickly as possible.

One estate champion from the South East Thames region said: ”I've been doing this for a few months now and I really feel as if I have helped make a difference in my neighbourhood. I meet my housing officer every four to six weeks and we do a walkabout of the neighbourhood.

"I don’t always wait for the Estate Inspection. If I see any graffiti, abandoned cars or broken fences I now just automatically report it to the repairs free phone number.”
