Residents' Awards 2008

Creating Places Awards

The resident awards are back!

The hunt is on for fantastic residents who can be nominated for L&Q’s Creating Places Awards 2008.

Last year dozens of residents got dressed up and joined us for a spectacular awards dinner at the Café Royal in central London.

Judges picked winners and runners-up for a Good Neighbour Award, a Community Champion, a Sustainability Champion and an award for helping tackle anti-social behaviour. There were also prizes for the Young Person of the Year and a special award for the overall Resident of the Year.

Winners and runners-up walked away with trophies and big cash prizes.

We want this year’s event to be even bigger and better so please get in touch and tell us about L&Q residents you know who make a real difference to people’s lives and a genuine contribution to their community.

L&Q’s mission is “Creating places where people want to live” and we know there are inspirational residents of all ages and backgrounds who help us do this every day, but we need your help to find these often unsung heroes. Let’s recognise and reward the people who devote their lives to helping others, running community projects and improving their neighbourhoods.

Please make sure you include the full address and telephone numbers for both yourself and the person you are nominating.
We are planning to hold the awards ceremony in November and the deadline for entries will be September 12 so that we have plenty of time to shortlist and judge all the nominations.

Everyone who is shortlisted will be invited to the awards dinner, and they will be able to invite one guest with them to share the experience.

Please send us your nominations by September 12. You can complete an online form, fill in the nomination form that will be provided with your next issue of Homelife, or contact Homelife on telephone 020 8852 9181 or email Homelife to request a new form.

A judging panel of residents and L&Q staff will then go through all the nominations and draw up a shortlist of potential winners.
