The Printworks in Forest Hill, South East London

The Printworks is a mixed-tenure development, completed in February 2008, as part of the wider regeneration of the Clyde Terrace area of Forest Hill.

It includes 10 live/work homes aimed at people wanting to set up small businesses. These might include design studios, internet or e-commerce consultancies, recruitment companies or architects’ practices.

The range of tenure types helps meet Lewisham Council’s objective of establishing a new mixed community of businesses and homes. The Printworks development comprises:

• 30 affordable rented homes
• 12 shared ownership homes
• 10 ‘live/work’ units - part of L&Q’s build for sale programme
• Six units rented for commercial use
