L&Q is building around 2,000 new homes a year, including homes for affordable rent, intermediate rent, shared ownership and sale on the open market. Recent developments include the Stratford Eye in Newham and Printworks in Forest Hill, both East London.
Because we are able to invest in improving existing homes and bringing them up to the Decent Homes standard, we have been involved in a number of stock transfers from local councils. For example, the Lewisham Park estate was transferred to L&Q in April 2007; residents now have new kitchens and bathrooms.
We are also involved in long-term projects to regenerate communities, such as Rubicon in Greenwich, South East London.
